Who Am I ?

I’m Diogo.

Born in Cascais, Portugal — by the sound of the sea — and now living surrounded by ocean, in the heart of the Atlantic: São Miguel, Azores. But I’ve never truly belonged to just one place. I feel, deep down, that one of our human duties is to explore the world — not just its geography, but its people, cultures, scents, languages, silences. There’s so much out there to see, to feel, to live. And that’s why I choose to capture life through photography.

Photography isn’t my job — it’s my way of living. A way to breathe, to feel, to pause time. Each click of the shutter is like casting a spell: freezing a fleeting moment, preserving emotions that would otherwise vanish. I don’t follow a specific style, nor do I seek one. The beauty, for me, lies in truly seeing — seeing everything — with fresh, curious eyes.

Because in every photo, there’s always more than light and shadow. There’s a whole world hidden inside — a feeling, a glance, a story that happened only once.

And I’m here to capture it.
